Glass candy dish, footed. Molded, mass-market candy dish in the style of pressed glass of the 19th century. Bowl has a strongly scalloped lip. Brilliant, star, and simple scrollwork patterns decorate the sides of the bowl. Foot is octagonal, sloping upward to meet the bowl. Foot is hollow, with fluting on the underside to give a stripe pattern.
Glass candy and trifle bowls were popular promotional items from general stores and home furnishing stores in the 20th century.
