Three Slaughter-era contracts
1. 1889-10. Contract for clearing land near Slaughter. Section and lots are noted in the contract. Contract was between J.M. Ogle and William Swartsfager, signed by Adam Spotts, Mary A. Ogle, and Grace Ogle.
2. 1890-09-19. The citizens of Slaughter hire Adam Spotts to serve as nightwatchman. Signed by more than 20 early Slaughter residents
3. 1899-02-17. Contract for sale of timber by James Hart to Adam Spotts. Document has one-cent documentary stamps.
